The Senior Business Development Manager - Indirect Lending will be responsible for developing new indirect dealer business. This role will be responsible for individual sales and profitability goals and ensure that they meet and/or exceed assigned goals. Through providing exceptional customer service and advocacy, the role will build, maintain and expand dealer relationships in the greater Philadelphia area to generate business opportunities.The expectation for this role is to expand dealer relationships with BMO Harris Bank in the greater Philadelphia market.Key Accountabilities 50% - Business Development
Increase the bank's visibility within dealers
Develop a business development strategy in respective market
Partner with assigned Business Development Managers to create and develop business development strategy
Develop goals, objectives, and priorities for business development and own book of business and support other less senior business development managers with their business plan
Coordinate initiatives with National Sales Manager to integrate marketing programs and business development efforts.
Develop, implement, and administer major policies and procedures for the Bank's business development.
Solicit profitable business
Ensure new business development through business relationships and astute assessment of market opportunities
Recommend new products/services that provide business opportunities based on satisfaction of customers' needs
Satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations
40% - Leadership / Staff Performance
Ensure assigned Business Development Managers project a professional and consistent image by adhering to organizations brand, corporate identity and standards at all times.
Provide leadership, coaching and foster collaboration towards the attainment of team and individual goals
Identify opportunities to develop talent through a variety of training programs, development assignments and HR talent management programs; in partnership with National Sales Manager
Partner with National Sales Manager to effectively manage performance by utilizing performance management system, and aggressively address role to fit performance issues in support of a high-performance culture
Make recommendations to National Sales Manager as it relates to performance review ratings and development
May be called upon to screen, interview and weigh in when hiring Business Development Managers
Build productive relationships with other lines of business to encourage an atmosphere of collaboration and team
Analyze and resolve routine/complex operational problems
Advise National Sales Manager of potential process inefficiencies
Participate and act as a subject matter expert on projects
10% - Risk Management
Project a professional and consistent image by adhering to organizations brand, corporate identity and standards at all times
Acts in full compliance with all Bank policies, directives/procedures and external regulations to protect the Banks assets
Identifies risks associated within line of business, escalating issues to National Sales Manager
Adheres to all departmental mandates
Ensures all necessary documentation is completed for all transactions
Handles all customer information with highest level of confidentiality and security
Bachelors or equivalent work experience in indirect auto lending
5 or more years of experience in indirect auto lending sales
Thorough knowledge of the indirect lending and dealer finances products and services
In-depth knowledge in reading and analysing production reports
In-depth knowledge of competitive market place and trends in product offerings
Computer literate and strong familiarity with credit financial analysis techniques
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proven leadership skills
Aptitude to manage a team to achieve performance results
Solid aptitude to coach and development employees to meet their greatest potential
Excellent judgment, logic and reasoning
This position requires Credit Qualification. The incumbent must possess an in-depth level of Credit knowledge and skills and a working level of Portfolio Management knowledge and skills according to the standards established within the Credit Qualification Process Policies & Procedures.
