BMO Financial Group Cloud Engineering Lead in Virtual, Illinois
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate professional for a Cloud Engineering Lead. Responsibilities:
Working in a close-knit technical team;
This is an opportunity to help lead the Bank's Cloud transformation.
The individual will be part of the broader Cloud Engineering practice, embeds with key stakeholders to help understand their Cloud adoption roadmaps, align those roadmaps to BMO Cloud Services, and support key Cloud initiatives from requirements, to production, and into their ongoing optimization phase.
Help identify and develop DevSecOps requirements to drive Cloud Operational Maturity, connect stakeholders to knowledge and training, and step in when things get blocked.
You're not alone in the role. Individual will partner with strong Cloud Solution Architects to support their portfolios, and can engage PMs, Cloud Solution Consultants, and other resources to help them manage their over-all portfolio.
Individual will be a respected leader, capable of working seamlessly with CIOOs, CIOs, LTOs, and STOs to accelerate Cloud Adoption. Will report directly to the Head, Cloud Enablement, and represent Cloud Engineering (Cloud Enablement / Cloud Services) and the broader Cloud Enablement Engine function.
Individual will have a Cloud-first mindset, well developed relationship building / sustainment skills, a strong technical core, process awareness, and a knack for problem solving, and taking accountability for finding answers when others have questions.
Have navigational skills and 'connecting the dots' are key.
Successful candidates come from a range of backgrounds, including application technical operations, Solution Architecture, and Cloud Engineering.

Required Skills
At least six 6 years of experience in a technical role in a large enterprise environment
Experience leading development and technology teams
Solid knowledge of Public Cloud Platforms, Cloud Services, and Cloud Development
Strong technical leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution
Strong understanding of Cloud Native Architecture and principles and Infrastructure as a code
Experience with implementing CI/CD Systems and DevOps methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of enterprise change management process and technology governance
Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation)
A critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Ability to engage, lead and drive vendors working closely with our Vendor Management function
Organizational and strategic management skills, including budget and business planning and forecasting
Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners
Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more cloud engineering, technology, and product domains
A strong team player, self-motivated and a positive attitude.
