BMO Financial Group Senior Manager - Business and Performance Management in Toronto, Ontario

Business Management

Supports the overall Business and Performance Management for a large portfolio in the Business Process & Digitization team within Canadian Personal and Business Banking. Helps business leaders in the execution of strategic priorities and initiatives. Defines OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for key initiatives and builds processes to report results and insights to allow senior executives make data driven decisions. Supports effective risk management and attestation/reporting processes. Leads the execution of strategic initiatives from discovery/business case definition through to delivery in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Leads financial management and benefits reporting for a broad portfolio of initiatives.

Strategy and Decision Support

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives

  • Leads the development of priorities, current, and planned initiatives, and support requirements related to strategic management for the business/group

  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops roadmap for strategic execution

  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business

  • Develops business cases by identifying needs, analyzing potential options and assessing expected return on investment

  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making

  • Conducts independent review, analysis, and resolution of strategic issues

Reporting and Financial Management

  • Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data driven insights inform business decision making

  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations

  • Develops and manages comprehensive information management systems; designs and/or leads initiatives to improve processes, analysis and reporting

  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues

  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting

  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards

  • Plans and controls unit operating expenses in accordance with forecasts.

  • Makes recommendations to leaders on financial management processes based on changing requirements

  • Coordinates budgets and reporting to track actual results vs. budget.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

  • Consulting experience considered a strong asset

  • People Management experience preferred

  • Able to manage ambiguity.
