The Manager, Digital Strategy & Insights is key role within BMO Digital, by partnering with Product Management to provide a leading customer experience. To achieve the mandate, the Manager will support roadmap development, provide perspectives on investment candidates through business casing, drive competitive intelligence and proprietary research, evaluate delivered initiatives impact on customer experience and BMO digital priorities, and analyze performance trends. This person will work in close collaboration with digital product teams and leadership to achieve their short and longer-term objectives.

Responsibilities

Digital Strategy

  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor

  • Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group and identification of emerging issues and trends

  • Act as an internal consultant and trusted partner to break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations

  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine

  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and acts as the prime subject matter expert

Insights

  • Develop business cases by analyzing potential options and assessing expected return on investment

  • Monitors and tracks performance and proactively address any issues

  • Reviews the ongoing insights programs for effectiveness, considers industry trends and recommends enhancements; makes changes as required

  • Partner with analytics and reporting to help define business requirements to ensure data insights that inform business decision-making

  • Develop and participate in regular insight driven studies to help improve the business

  • Present insights and performance to product teams and leadership

  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports

  • Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Typically 4+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Combination of financial services and technology exposure; in-depth/expert understanding of digital issues/trends and how to leverage technology for competitive advantage.

  • Experience in management consulting and / or in-house strategy an asset

  • In-depth knowledge of digital channels and workplace technology platforms and services.

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
