We are looking for a Bilingual Experienced Senior Claim Specialist
As part of a small dynamic team focused on the business of paying claims, you will have the opportunity to support our clients, claimants, MGA’s and Advisors by adjudicating a variety of Individual and Direct to consumer claims. We are looking for a bilingual Senior Claim Specialist with proven experience in adjudicating Individual Life, Critical Illness and Disability claims.
What will you do?
Assess claims based on their individual merit and adjudicate in a fair manner
Manage assigned case load in an effective manner, escalating any issues or concerns, to ensure ongoing effective claim operations and adjudication
Follows established policies & procedures including authority and signing authority to manage the risks inherent in claims operations and escalate any issues or concerns
Address any client or claimant issue, escalating as required for any complaint situation
Maintain effective relationships with clients, claimants, beneficiaries, MGAs and Advisors to deliver the desired client experience and retain clients for BMO Life Assurance
Build effective relationships with internal and external (Reinsurance) stakeholders.
Support and participate the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Participate in and conduct quality reviews identifying and addressing any issues identified to help reduce risk inherent in claims operations
Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
What you will bring:
Fluency in both French and English
Between 5-7 Years of relevant adjudication experience post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert level knowledge of individual insurance products, contracts and benefit plans (Life, CI, DI)
Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
