BRS Execution – Associate
Assist in the execution of Capital Markets strategy, risk and control, US governance, and regulatory initiatives through the following responsibilities
Planning and executing short and long-term initiatives and ad hoc deliverables within given timelines Methodically solving problems across a continuum that ranges from simple day-to-day issues to highly complex business, technical or regulatory issues. Documenting new or existing processes and improving existing processes Writing business communications that clearly and appropriately convey the target message. Building positive relationships within GM, I&CB and across Corporate Support Areas in order to garner support, advice and partnership that enables execution of the role. Ongoing self-study about GM, Capital Markets, emerging regulatory and industry issues, BMO business priorities, and best practices. Work cross-functionally to understand business processes and how to better optimize workflows for reporting and analytics
Coordinate, attend, facilitate meetings for process walk-throughs
Prepare project surveys for review: identify pain points, current time spend, estimated time save with future processes
Review and organize documentation (reporting processes)
Map out process workflows
Extract, load, and transform data from multiple sources for reporting and ad-hoc analyses under tight timelines Work with fellow developers / architects to assist with building on the existing success of BRS capabilities and future technological needs Perform reviews of risk assessments, generate and manage various reports related to BMA Governance
** Note: this role is within the Capital Markets business, in the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. The business operates at a quick pace with very high quality and expectations; as such the role requires the same pace coupled with high quality execution of deliverables.
The role will have high exposure within the business and can lead to attractive future opportunities for a candidate who performs well in this role.
