BMO Financial Group Commercial Banking Associate – Hospitality Finance (Hybrid Chicago, Atlanta, or San Francisco) in San Francisco, California
Prepares well-reasoned credit proposals in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and the Bank's policies and procedures. Collaborates with the Relationship Manager to deliver well-structured loan solutions to hospitality clients across the U.S. Responsible for monitoring the performance of an assigned portfolio of customers and ensuring loan renewals are reviewed and re-documented as necessary.
Provides accurate financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing customers. Evaluates clients’ ability to repay and consults on loan structure and collateral.
Prepares credit packages to make lending recommendations on new, renewal and extension loans.
Performs periodic reviews of credit where more frequent monitoring may be appropriate.
Monitors covenants of clients within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreement.
Participate in on-site client visits with other internal stakeholders.
Maintains and promotes a customer service environment which meets and exceeds customer needs and expectations.
Assists in negotiations of terms and conditions of loans with clients.
Minimizes BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
