BMO Financial Group Vice President, Global Markets in New York, New York
VP level role, fast paced environment, ability to multi-task a must, prior experience with securities finance (equity or fixed income), problem solving skills, collaborative approach. Strong focus on improving existing processes and automation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing day to day borrow book for equities and GPF platform;
Develop & improve existing securities finance processes through collaboration with team, operations and technology teams; Reduce inefficiencies.
Cross sell engagement – collaborate with the broader cash equity & equity derivatives sales team and fixed income sales team
Active involvement in pre-trade client locate activity.
Assist in growth of US funding capabilities and development of PB platforms. Develop inventory management solutions, mobilize inventory, development of axe files and financing toolkit.
Networking – attend industry events and get involved in industry associations.
Keep abreast of regulatory headwinds & initiatives impacting the Global Prime Finance business
Maintain call notes for client calls/meetings.
Maintain team schedule, client follow ups, pipeline email.
Typically 3+ years of relevant experience in securities finance related activity.
Thorough knowledge of capital markets, pricing, and trading/hedging strategies and familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures and various capital markets products.
Strong understanding of trading procedures and broader regulatory and financial concepts.
Strong quantitative analysis, technology and financial analysis skills.
Strong risk management skills, fundamental analysis skills and leadership abilities.
