BMO Financial Group Associate/VP, Global Markets in New York, New York

Leverage Finance Distribution and Trading is seeking a desk analyst to work within the leverage loan and high yield group. This role reports into Trading but works closely with Sales and Trading to find relative value opportunities for BMO’s investor clients. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and interpersonal skills and is comfortable presenting their analysis both internally and externally. Specific tasks of the role include building financial models, writing and presenting credit summaries to traders and investor clients alike, developing actionable trade ideas based on relative value analysis, and supporting all primary and secondary client inquiry. Industries of interest include business services; Canadian energy; food and consumer products; healthcare; financials; industrials; metals and mining; and telecommunications, media and technology.


· Typically between 3 - 5 years of experience in investment banking, credit research or equity research.

· Series 7, 63 licenses.

· Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, investment and financial reports.

· Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

· Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

· Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
