You are an SEC Registered Investment Advisor who is passionate in serving customers, providing sound advice and banking solutions that fit their needs. This role will be part of a new team of other advisors serving customers through a digital self-serve hybrid platform and will provide advice and goals-based planning to affluent customers and prospects.
You possess a passion for financial services and can easily determine client needs to provide the very best banking solutions for them. Learning about a client's financial situation interests you, as well as educating and helping people meet their goals. You understand what it’s like to be a client and are focused on delivering sound advice and are always willing to put the client at the center of every interaction and decision.
You are a very strong communicator, both written and verbal, with an eye for detail, and you demonstrate quick thinking and creative problem solving. Your positive attitude reinforces that nothing is too small (or too big) for you to achieve.

A successful candidate will:
Engage in conversations about a client’s financial goals.
Resolve complex client escalations.
Be able to adapt to a changing regulatory environment.
Understanding financial markets and recognize when to provide clients advice.
Fulfills sales and services activities for the customer in accordance with approved policies and procedures and BMO’s Code of Ethics. Identifies and makes referrals to other BMO affiliates.
Service clients to identify areas of improvement to support overall client experiences.
Provides subject matter expertise relating to product knowledge, processes, and operating systems.
Provide client education on risks and performance expectations in line with their financial goals.
Escalates complex customer situations to the supervisor.
Maintains the confidentiality of customer and firm information.
Acts as the first point of contact for investment questions.
Adheres to internal policies and procedures and industry rules and regulations.
Thinks creatively and proposes potential solutions to firm.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Typically, between 2-3 years of relevant Registered Investment Advisor experience
College degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Series 65 or 66 license required
CFP or CPWA is an asset
Knowledge of marketplace trends and product offerings.
Knowledge of investment planning
Understanding and ability to adhere to a regulatory compliance program
