BMO Financial Group Software Developer (Dallas / Chicago) in Irving, Texas
The Transportation Finance (TF) Line of Business has a significant investment in digital automation with its "Touchless" Originations System" and is seeking a bold plan to move this platform from In-Cloud to Cloud Native. With ambition 2025, we will require a major technology investment to improve agility, take costs out and grow the business portfolio.
The Software Developer will:
Bring experience working with large scale Business Operations processes.
Provide thought leadership of possibilities for Customer Care and Customer Self-Service applications.
Bring hands on development experience with 2 or more of the following: Angular, NodeJS, J2EE, Oracle, ML Framework, Python, and PostgreSQL.
Have experience working in cross-functional teams to establish lean business operations processes.
Bring understanding or have knowledge of Financial Accounting.
Work with Global Teams dispersed across the globe.
Focus on platform availability and stability.
Bring a mentoring mindset as a core value.
Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
Interacts with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the business and end-customers.
Assesses the costs and benefits for different solutions and recommend/decide on appropriate designs.
Designs solutions, writes code, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artefacts / documentation, and facilitates final delivery.
Be comfortable and confident working with ambiguity - embraced an Agile mindset to solving challenges.
Typically between 2 - 7 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Industry preference - Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech - with focus on Digital Channels, Credit Risk, Standalone technology product companies.
Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
Knowledge of required programming languages and can code with little oversight.
Knowledge of technical/business environment and processes.
