BMO Financial Group Senior Sales Analytics in Chicago, Illinois

This is an exciting opportunity that is on the forefront of a critical enterprise capability, providing thought leadership to U.S. Personal and Business Banking on the value of data and analytics. The incumbent will recognize the need for strict security and be able to use good judgment and professional tact when

handling confidential and sensitive matters. We are looking for a strategic thinker with the ability to dissect business problems, design forecasts, and use advanced analytics to identify trends, variations, patterns, and insights relating to business, and build solutions to drive behaviors and sales production. The incumbent will also work with and support multiple lines of business and will closely collaborate with Product Teams, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Compliance, etc. Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain financial analyses and product and segment level forecast designs including:

  • Coordinate and co-lead new initiatives, including assisting in developing methodology and gathering data requirements

  • Contributes to designing and documenting financial analyses that allows for understanding cost benefit ratios for implementation of new initiatives and FTE allocation

  • Design and maintain forecasts at the product level by segment to use with the Product teams in order to drive key insights for decision-making

  • Gathers insights and perspectives from various intake forums to help drive change and ensure alignment to sales and marketing strategies

  • Participate in business partner interviews/discovery sessions, brainstorming/design sessions, and other intake forums to capture business objectives and concerns

  • Support goal setting projects including segment allocations, product allocations, financial targets, and individual role goals

  • Gather data for each dimension in order to design and recommend goal allocation methodologies

  • Using a combination of demographic data and historical performance, identify ideal goal allocations for branch business partners based on geographic and demographic considerations

  • Assist in the design and presentation of PowerPoint documents with methodologies and recommendations for senior leadership

  • Maintain performance data and assist in tracking performance over time, with period over period comparisons of goals and results in order to inform decision making

  • Assist in the creation of FTE optimization modeling for branch roles and business partners and use sales performance insight to ensure maximized return on investment

  • Coordinate with business partners to identify the relevant data in order to achieve optimized FTE allocation within the branch and branch partnership assignments

  • Maintain the allocation models to ensure FTE continues to be deployed optimally

  • Develop performance monitoring methodologies to align with Field KPIs to ensure that goals and FTE allocation is driving towards key business initiatives

Knowledge

  • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or business and 1+ years of analytical experience in financial services, Marketing, E-Commerce, Fraud, Digital and/or consulting

  • Requires advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Requires advanced skills in SQL

  • Understanding of statistical modeling techniques like Regression and Segmentation & Classification, as well as multiple forecasting techniques like ARIMA and exponential smoothing

  • Experience in building and presenting data driven insights through business intelligence tools

  • Demonstrates solid communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship management skills

  • Track record of building effective analytical solution to complex business problems

  • Shows strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts and is able to effectively convey data-driven insights to stakeholders

  • Exhibits advanced critical thinking skills, integrative skills and creativity to drive innovation

  • Demonstrates ability to build a good fact base, apply sound reasoning, and generate relevant recommendations that get implemented and lead to business success

  • Able to work highly independently and manage multiple priorities in an agile fast paced environment

  • Possesses solid leadership skills and is able to work successfully with a team that has diverse skills, knowledge, and educational backgrounds

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a high level of due diligence
