BMO Financial Group Senior Manager Data Analytics Acceleration Strategy in Chicago, Illinois
Reporting to the VP US Chief Data and Analytics Officer, you'll be part of the Enterprise Data and AI (EDAI) team who's goal is to harness the power of Data, Analytics & AI to create a competitive advantage and accelerate growth across lines of business and corporate areas for the bank.

What will you do?
Be the Leader for a portfolio of BMO line of business or corporate areas by collaborating with leadership on their multiyear business growth objectives to formulate a joint vision to enable these objectives using Data, Analytics & AI, architect solutions, prepare multi-year roadmaps, identify near-term pilots to prove value, generate business cases and track ongoing business benefits realized
Facilitate collaborative sessions with partners applying design thinking methods to engage stakeholders and generate key outcomes
Partner with business teams as the front line to triage risks and issues related to Data, Analytics and AI
Develop solutions across key enablers including but not limited to Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning, Data Quality/Governance, Digital, and Technology for areas such as pricing analytics, customer analytics, performance management, monetization, and others
Identify opportunities to apply advanced data mining and wrangling techniques, machine learning, graph, optimization, automation and other techniques as warranted
Analyze important success metrics, spend and achieved benefits from projects to ensure the team is delivering improvement to integrate analytics and value metrics into the fabric of business decision-making
Be an expert within specific domains of Data and Analytics and represent us within internal forums and at external events (conferences, meet-ups, etc.)
What do you need to succeed? Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Business)
Minimum of 5 years of knowledge in pricing analytics, customer analytics, performance management, or other areas
Minimum of 5 years of knowledge in big data platforms and applications in one or more of the following: Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth Management,
Minimum of 3 years in a strategy role (Analytics Strategy Consulting, equivalent) in which you developed strategies, roadmaps, operating models, business cases, and have structured new opportunities
Experience designing and building compelling presentation material in Powerpoint and other formats
Experience leading and inspiring teams
Experience working creatively and collaboratively to identify solutions
Excellent structured communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills: ability to explain analytical solutions, techniques, technology and business value propositions
How to set yourself apart?
Graduate degree in AI, Masters in Business Analytics, or Masters in Business Administration
Exposure to BI and advanced analytics techniques (machine learning, data mining, graph analytics, etc.)
Data visualization skills (e.g. d3.js, Tableau, Spotfire)
Experience with large-scale data architecture, data management or similar complex projects
Design Thinking methods and facilitation
