Job Description:

Senior Data Analyst will deep dive into bank’s big data platform to help business partners solve problems and deliver key insights that transforms the banking experience and drive revenue growth.

In addition, this role will also build campaigns on bank’s real-time marketing capability platform. You will be primarily responsible for the configuration and deployment of strategies and marketing collateral across the bank’s inbound channels. You will work directly with partners to develop strategies and ensure real-time campaigns are setup flawlessly and optimized against various strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting and data requests, plus develop automated reporting dashboards

  • Perform impactful analysis using a variety of data analysis, extraction and visualization tools to report and communicate insights

Campaign Execution:

  • Translate business and technical specifications to develop new marketing programs, product/services and channel enhancements/integration points

  • Assemble, prepare and test marketing campaign assets across multiple customer touchpoints/all inbound channels

  • Build configuration of real-time interactive strategies using marketing campaign software

  • Create test plans and conduct thorough UAT and production validation of marketing campaigns

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to deliver on flawless execution of marketing campaigns

  • Ensure process and controls are followed; documentation is maintained, and approvals are obtained prior to delivery

  • Maintain calendar view of inbound marketing campaigns

Relationship Management:

  • Build and deepen relationships with business partners across the organization

  • Work collaboratively with other analytics professionals across Analytics Center of Excellence to leverage their analytical expertise and create synergy

  • Consult as the lead on real-time marketing capabilities for the appropriate lines of businesses

  • Work closely with various stakeholders for ideation and execution phases of implementing real-time interaction strategies

  • Manage scheduling, tracking and communication of key deliverable dates to stakeholders

Business Acumen:

  • Understand the key drivers of our partners business in order to provide value-added insights and recommendations

  • Promote and build advocacy of real-time marketing capabilities to transform the bank and drive revenue

Strategic planning:

  • Translate analytical insights to tactical plans

  • Research and explore innovative marketing and data applications in Financial Services and other industries

  • Participate in ideation sessions to leverage real-time capabilities and channels to drive personalized journeys

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

Knowledge:

  • Solid working knowledge with statistical/data analysis tools, including SAS, SQL, R, Python

  • Work experience to create effective visualizations, reports and dashboards such as SAS Visual Studio, R

  • Solid foundation and appreciation for design principles and UX

  • Strong grasp of Marketing and Business KPIs across physical and digital channels

  • Strong business acumen and ability to consider customer experience and revenue generation in all aspects of their decision-making

  • General understanding of database marketing concepts

  • General understanding of relational databases and structured and unstructured datasets

Skills:

  • Motivated, hardworking individual with a genuine curiosity in data, analytics and marketing technology

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to identify relevant information and define root issues ability to interpret data and package insights in clear, concise stories for diverse audiences

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex content into business language

  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities, and proactively drive business outcomes

  • Working commitment to excellence in execution with keen attention to detail

  • Working ability to manage ambiguous, complex requirements with innovative and creative thinking

  • Numerate and comfortable with financial calculations and building business cases

Education/Work Experience:

  • Strong analytical aptitude with 3+ years of work experience in data consultancy role

  • An undergraduate/masters level background in an analytical discipline such as management analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience

  • Work experience in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing is an asset

  • Experience with real-time campaign management solutions like IBM (UNICA) Interact, Adobe Campaign, SAS real-time decision manager, etc is an asset
