BMO Financial Group Senior Analyst, Funds Transfer Pricing in Chicago, Illinois

This individual contributor role will work as part of a team in support of the Bank’s Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) principles. Taking direction from the Director in US Financial Data Management you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Bank’s financial data, working with Corporate Treasury to translate the FTP methodology requirements into technology based solutions, including the configuration, system implementation and reporting of FTP financial results.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • On a monthly basis, perform necessary system updates and conduct monthly validations of FTP results to ensure the accurate and timely relase of monthly management reporting data.

  • Develop, implement, and provide on-going support of FTP models based on requirements from Corporate Treasury

  • Lead communication with business groups to ensure all parties understand methodology changes.

  • Supports the management of BMO’s data as a key asset that facilitates effective decision making.

  • Supports the system implementation and validation of funds transfer pricing

  • Implements strategic initiatives (e.g. new product offerings, source systems, acquisitions, and divestitures) into core Finance systems.

  • Assists in the identification of change impacts by gathering requirements and mapping and documenting current and proposed processes.

  • Provides support to Enterprise projects and/or manages operational changes (e.g. supporting Technology with the validation and testing of systems).

  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.


  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial services industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • Experience with Funds Transfer Pricing concepts a plus

  • Knowledge in MS Excel

  • Knowledge in Oracle/PeopleSoft EPM application software a plus, but not required

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
