BMO Financial Group Business Technology Manager in Chicago, Illinois

The Business Technology Manager is responsible for assisting the Business Technology Leads in organizing, delivering & executing on strategic initiatives, preparing test cases and conducting ad-hoc activities related to the bank's commercial loan systems including but not limited to RRT (risk rating software), and LTS (adjudication software) and Livelink (workflow tool) as well as any other commercial loan systems implemented over time.
The Business Technology Manager is also responsible for working with the Business Technology Training & Communications team to update the user manuals for RRT, MRA, Livelink, LTS and other core systems, as well as all other training and guidance materials for credit analysts and other users and to ensure that all content on the intranet portals is updated as needed and remains relevant.
Additionally, the Business Technology Manager will co-own the Help Desk function for the commercial lending systems and act as a contact for the front line bankers for all questions regarding the commercial loan systems, risk rating models or business processes. The role involves responding to questions emailed into the Help Desk and providing prompt and accurate responses. The Business Technology Manager will be able to handle more complex inquiries, and will identify and escalate systemic issues to the appropriate manager for resolution.
Key Accountabilities
Participate in providing business requirements to Technology partners to ensure solutions appropriately address business needs.
Assists Business Tech Training Manager in preparing and conducting training sessions related to commercial lending systems to optimize the knowledge and skill of system users
Leads test case preparation for user acceptance testing (UAT), helps coordinate business testers, executes testing and supports implementation of all technology enhancements on behalf of the line of business. In addition, responsible for tracking and reporting any defects to Business Tech Lead and Delivery Test Manager.
Works with the Communications Manager to ensure that all job aids and user guides are up to date and accurate and that they support the requirements of system users.
Identifies areas of data quality that need supplemental training an executes training.
Provides Help Desk support to all business purpose lending personnel, identifying what areas to enlist to resolve issues and answer questions as needed.
Works with the Business Technology Training Team to provide subject matter knowledge to support the development and updating of the employee On-Boarding Program and to create, update and maintain e-learning related to commercial loan systems.
Knowledge & Skills
Solid presentation skills
Strong communication skills
4 or more years of experience in commercial credit underwriting or commercial banking operations
B.A. in Business or Finance.
Knowledge of Bank systems including RRT, APMS, LTS, and Livelink a plus
Salary:
$79,800.00 - $148,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
