BMO Financial Group US Billing Specialist in Brookfield, Wisconsin

Supports ongoing maintenance of customer accounts and payment billing systems. Ensures payments through variety of sources are recognized and posted against the correct account and invoice. Manages the set-up of special pricing arrangements to include bundles, consolidations and discrete pricing arrangements, ensuring negotiated amount is accurately reflected in the billing systems.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for more complex problems.

  • Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensures alignment between stakeholders.

  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Manages the enhancements to existing databases and/or creation of new databases to provide an optimum design that satisfies the business requirements.

  • Verifies authorization of refund and reversal requests.

  • Leads or participates in change management activities of varying scope and type.

  • Supports manager by coordinating and managing workflow and reviewing daily production; escalates any concerns.

  • Performs database administration functions; installs database software, modifies database servers, account set-up, maintenance, access, and permissions.

  • Provides timely and accurate processing of daily financial transactions.

  • Researches and investigates billing anomalies/variances for products and customers to determine cause and make recommendations for resolution.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships to understand normal transaction patterns, systems operations and other factors that may impact invoice processing.

  • Executes routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, queries etc. within relevant service level agreements.

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on business objectives.

  • Resolves processing issues in accordance with policies & procedures and service level expectations.

  • Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Focus may be on a business/group.

  • Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.

  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

  • Works mostly independently.

  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:

  • Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.

  • Influence skills - In-depth.
