BMO Financial Group Commercial Portfolio Analyst in Brookfield, Wisconsin

Facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank.

  • Minimizes BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.

  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles, including the structure (and interaction) of the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows and their practical application in the credit underwriting process.

  • Math skills to perform financial calculations.

  • With minimal oversight, perform financial covenant compliance calculations within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreement

  • With minimal oversight, perform collateral margining verification calculations to determine borrowing base availability

  • Analyzes financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports and other related materials

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to learn and utilize various internal systems

  • Ability to work under limited supervision

  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:

  • Typically, between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and/or post-secondary degree in related field of study or an acceptable combination of education and experience

  • In depth specific functional knowledge and broad business knowledge.

  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics and credit analysis skills.

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.

Salary:

$52,800.00 - $98,400.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
